My best friend has 4legs and a tail
She is always there to greet me without fail
She likes to run and she likes to play
She carriers her ball everyday
Even when I cut the lawn she walks by my side
She is afraid of nothing she never would hide
She is older now and she’s real sick
Still she’ll catch that ball, she is so quick
I call her guardian cause she always there
She guards our family with strength and care
I’m afraid I’m now going to loose my furry best friend
And that our time together will soon end
I pet her now and start to cry
I don’t want to tell my best friend goodbye
I think and pray we will meet again
On distant shores, me and my best friend
So I thank you GOD for my best friend in all
And when she with YOU, please, throw her a ball.
