Working out your salvation is a lot of work; but to those who wish to see what GOD has proposed for them to have, we’ll do whatever it takes to bring it into the physical realm (manifestation). GOD assurances us that through every circumstance in life, HE has worked it out for our good (Romans 8:28). Sometimes through unfamiliarity we tend to consider that everything has to be good, for everything must be right (concerning our lives). However, GOD works with both good and unpleasant things of life to achieve the best in us. Just as two wrongs don’t make a right, the same is true with identical elements in our lives. Electricity is our greatest advantage of combining both elements when used properly. Thus, when used improperly it has a hazardous aftereffect upon us. I hope that this example has given you a better understanding of why we’re also created to function from both circumstances in our lives as well (good & unpleasant).
Throughout my life, I was taught that if I performed well, I would be rewarded; whenever I was disobedient I would be punished, I figured that all of the negative situations in my life were from me being disobedient. However, that wasn’t true. So when no one genuinely cared for me besides my family & best friend, I just did my best to protect the relationships I had them. Somehow over the years of being hurt by the very ones I loved (wholeheartedly), I began to deny the unpleasing things in my life and mixed my painful feelings with what I desired my life to be. Through the illusion of escapism (a specific bondage in which a person has given up the awareness of reality). I couldn’t grasp The TRUTH of what actually was happening in my life. In doing so, I promised myself that certain situations would never happen again because I feared them hurting me (basically, I avoided the obvious characteristics in others that were incompatible to the standards I created for a suitable mate). Eventually I gave up on “trying to do the right thing”. Unknowingly, I formed a barrier within my heart of whom I would allow within it and of those who was short of it (cut off). Recently, I discovered that those same promises I made to myself affected that way I responded to The LOVE of GOD. Perhaps you’re in the same position and if so, this is what GOD has shown me, that whatever we’re lacking in our relationship with HIM, the same will be the results of our circumstances pertaining to the identical area in our lives.
For example: if you’re not faithfully paying your tithes to GOD, than you’re not going to be faithful in paying your bills on time; if you’re uncertain of GOD LOVES, then you’re be doubtful (insecure) of the love of others (even when they mean well); etc. That’s why it’s imperative that we renew our minds (Romans 12:2) by The WORD of GOD (2 Corinthians 4:16) daily within every aspect of our lives since GOD created us to depended upon HIS LOVE (Proverbs 19:22 & John 3:16). Most of our unhappiness comes from our unawareness of functioning outside of HIS Established Order Without developing our relationship with GOD our walk throughout life will be defeated, depressed and eventually brought into ultimate ruin & decay because of our lack of knowledge and understanding , Hosea 4:6 & Proverbs 2:1-5. GOD has already done HIS PART (John 19:30), now it’s up to us to take a deep look within and ask GOD to help reveal our weaknesses within us so we will be able to identify and distinguish the form of bondage we’re entangled in. We will be able to recognize, help and possibly prevent the effects of its onset within others. Case in point, with an addict’s dependency upon: alcohol, drugs, etc. and other unexplained issues such as: obsessions, gambling, etc. I remember when I had difficulty with handling anger and I didn’t know what was causing it to happen. So in several attempts of deposing and suppressing my anger, new predicaments evolved: fear, stress, insecurity and etc., eventually I gave up and became captured by them. The LORD IS FAITHFUL to all of HIS PROMISES (Ps 145:13). HE has Promised that for “everyone who calls upon The NAME of The LORD shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). GOD (JESUS) IS The Only ONE WHO can save (mankind) completely (Hebrews 7:24-25).
When I became a Christian, I discovered that some of my family members had abandoned GOD (departed from the faith) because HE didn’t give them what they prayed for. This is such a sad result of many today (they never understood that GOD had to prepare them for certain blessings to be received). Some even went to the point of thinking that HE didn’t care for them, that somehow just HE stop loving them or wouldn’t be faithful to them because of their unfaithfulness. Errors become evident when we failed to ask why?
GOD IS The INITATOR of all things (1 Timothy 6:15-16) and we’re the responders to all HE has done (some people got it backwards; as if they run things). I’ve learned a long time ago to stop “prayer plotting”. Maybe you’re not familiar with this term; but if you’re one of those ones who go to GOD with the “if you do this for me GOD then I’ll do this” type of prayers, then GOD will expect you to do as you have said (and nothing less). Many times GOD will not answer our prayers if we’re not prepared to receive, maintain and keep the requested blessing. However, there’s been times when HE allowed me to receive my request only to have it taken away because HE wanted to prove to me that I couldn’t handle the responsibility of having it. For instance: If you’re complaining about how much you have to clean in your apartment, then why should HE give you the house you have been hoping for ? GOD specifically instructs us to be faithful with the little things, so HE can make us ruler over much (Matthew 25:21-23). My greatest desire is for all of us to gain understanding of GOD’S WORD and apply The TRUTH to our lives so we may have victory in LIFE through CHRIST.
For all those who wish to have the victory through CHRIST, pray this:
HEAVENLY FATHER, GOD of all TRUTH, in The NAME of JESUS CHRIST, I ask YOU for the forgiveness of my sins (admit aloud). Please show me The WAY, so I may boast upon YOU and YOUR GOODNESS. May YOUR MERCY & GRACE be with me as I learn of YOU as well. Thank YOU . Amen.
