Discerning Between The Flesh and THE SPIRIT

Before we are ever transferred into The KINGDOM of GOD (become Christians), we constantly live out of “who we really are” without GOD (in our flesh). What this means is that we live our lives the way we want to, even if it is foolishly. Prime example: people who live out of their emotions (usually errorous or normally unfavorable), tend to live for the moment of their desires (or for the thrills of someone else’s). In other words, if one feels like doing this or that, than one does (if it is profitable to them at the time), but if the opposite is more profitable, than one does not. This type of behavior is not only at random, but ungodly as well because GOD is not a god of disorder (First Corinthians 14:33). Therefore, the conclusion is one can live either in TRUTH or in error.

Now, “the narrow path” is GOD’S WAY and there are no negotiations with GOD. So, stop plotting because either GOD's going to run the whole show (concerning every aspect of your life) or you are going to have to find some other way to run it (without HIM). GOD IS THE INITIATOR of all things and rather we like it or not, we are just the responders. HE will either allow some things or appoint some things, but either way we will find ourselves needing HIS assistance throughout our entire life. Allow me put it to you this way, GOD is not a genie, whereas, we can rub (pray) for whatever we want HIM to do for us (be the responder of what we have requested), nor will HE ever be. If one lives in error (the road of destruction), than you will also live in bondage. However, if you live in TRUTH than you shall also live in the freedom that CHRIST came and died for you to have and enjoy. This freedom does not gives us the liberty to do anything we would like of our flesh, but it does grants us The GRACE (of GOD) to do everything that HE WILLS for us to accomplish instead.

No one is literally true to GOD, others or themselves, for the following reasons: For the most part, no one can ever be sincere to GOD without already being reconciled to HIM (The Christian’s Call in life). Nor can an individual gain the satisfaction by solely meeting the needs of others (to the point of not becoming co-dependant). Because the same persons that you strive to please are the very ones who live out of their own emotions (just as self-centered) and could very well become disappointed or appalled with you altogether (at any given moment). Lastly, you can not be “real” to yourself by living your life in this alternating pattern because feelings come and go. So to be living out of your emotions will have you living within an unattainable, unrealistic and unstable disposition (which leads to other problems such as: alcohol, drugs, irrational behavior, etc…). Clearly, the flesh cares for no one other than to please itself even if through the influence of another (whom you are delighted with or in fear of).

The root (heart) of the matter is rather someone knows and understands what is not beneficial to them. Yet for the sake of their emotions (or due to the stress or enticement of domineering individuals), pacify (cater, calm and soothe their feelings) just to satisfy the craving(s) within them. People who live their lives in this condition are beyond deception, but are living proof of the actual “lie(s)” in itself. Constantly, out of the fear of man (dependency of another’s desires) or frankly, “ponking out” of confronting and allowing The TRUTH to be the evidence of their lives. They rather conform themselves to the “lies” that presently become the order (authority) over their lives.

Have you ever witnessed how those under the manipulation of others, always have an excuse for the mistreatment of others towards them. They endlessly submit themselves to the point of desperation. Torturing them to such degrees, it belittles them and all for the sake of satisfying this temporal lust(s) within them to appease themselves and (or) others. The reason why this is ungodly behavior is because GOD IS THE ONLY WHO QUALIFIES to have our total allegiance. WHO created “you, them, me and everything else!” Now, I see why GOD becomes jealous whenever any of us fall (or be captive) to this category (Genesis 3:1-12). For lies are deceiving (Genesis 3:13), treason is betrayal (Genesis 3:14-16) and idolatry is the worship of other gods (Genesis 3:17) and GOD is offended with such conduct (Genesis 3:18-24). GOD gave us (HIS only creation with) a free will, but our decisions(s) will be manifested upon the exposure of its depth (while we’re still living) or upon The LAST Day (verdict after death). Apparently, to some degree we will all have to give an account of our life-style (what we were willing to be without in this life). This is what determines what kind of rewards (if any) will each of us be rewarded for (every time we honored GODS' CHOICE verses our own agenda). In plain English, sticking to GODS' PLAN the best way we can (whole-heartingly trusting GOD through whatever circumstances for HIS SAKE)!
