02/08/10 The Love of the Father
How many of us really realize how much God loves us? The creator of every human, every animal, every piece of matter loving each one of us individually. How much love must a person have to die on a tree and take our punishment in the lake of fire? That lake of eternal pain and suffering was reserved for the creation that repeatedly spit in our masters face.
How great is his love for us? Can we even calculate the amount of love it takes for a person to give up a literal piece of themselves for selfish people who refuse to look up? We as a people only look down to our worldly filth; so intent on what we can gain. Thank God for two words Mercy and Grace which are a product of the best thing our creator ever invented Love. The Bible says that love can cover a multitude of sins and in our case that is exactly what happened.
Emmanuel Christ among us took our punishment so we could have a chance to live a better life with him. His love covered our sins we got a second chance to get it together; get back to God. What thanks have we given the one who is always there and his support never ceasing? In this world with all its stimulating content it is easy to forget about the reason why we inhale and exhale. God’s perfection in us allows our hearts never to beat out of sync; our beings to be like fine tuned boxes of music.
Today I want to say thank you Jesus; thank you for allowing our mornings to come and our suns to set. Thank you for being the best doctor, auto mechanic and best friend we could ever ask for. When the darkness seems to come from all sides thank you for being the silver lining; the hand that leads our blind hearts and minds. Thank You that you walk among us and that you are still teaching, you are still calling for us to follow your lead.
God is love and his son is proof of it. How much does he love us? Let me count the ways……
