There will be trials of many kinds
In which there seems no out
Times for building stronger faith
By working through some doubt.
Moments of affliction
Serve to bend those stubborn knees
Appearing as though all is lost
Yet God says, “Just believe.”
Songs are swallowed up in groans
Again, become a prayer
Piercing through the silence
From a heart in deep despair.
Following each gasping breath
Befalls a certain hush
Enter in-
That tender voice that whispers, “Only trust.”
While many plead for rescue
Others lick their wound
But those who see the hand of God-
Breakthrough.
Breakthrough.
Breakthrough.
