I wish to apologize for the attitude I held towards Christians prior to becoming one. Those of you who read my devotional from a few days ago will understand the apology better, but I can sum up my attitude quickly. In short, I mocked, scorned, and viewed with contempt all Christians for their beliefs. I thought the idea of God a very silly one that only simple-minded, seriously deluded, or tragically mistaken people thought possible. As much as I could, I heaped ridicule on the very existence of God. Though I knew perhaps none of you before I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, yet I apologize for my own attitudes and actions; indeed, I apologize for my very thoughts, hateful as they were. I also apologize in the place of every person who's ever mocked or ridiculed you because of your beliefs and possibly made you ashamed or afraid to tell others what you believe. Please forgive me.
