They say women are used to multi-tasking
Doing all sorts of things at once –
Running a household
Raising kids
Doing washing and cooking and cleaning
Working part-time; full-time
Being the husband’s secretary
(Sending emails, finding the lost hat, paying the bills,
ringing the hardware shop, remembering birthdays)
And we can even do all this while pregnant
We carry on as if nothing has changed
making excuses for the nausea, the tiredness
… “had a late night” … “not feeling too well”
… Not really knowing in those early days
what to say, who to tell
And we continue our work, our exercise
our commitments and daily routine as normal
After all, millions of women across the world
do it all the time
It’s a natural process of life
But some part of me wants to say Stop!
Doesn’t anyone realise the significance of this?!
It’s amazing… fantastic!
I have a new life growing inside of me
God is sculpting and forming a unique creation
That I have the privilege of carrying
Don’t continue on as if everything is normal
For it is not -
I am being touched by the hands of God
I am part of a wonderful
miracle
------- “You created every part of me; you put me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because you are to be feared; all you do is strange and wonderful. I know it with all my heart. When my bones were being formed, carefully put together in my mother’s womb, when I was growing there in secret, you knew I was there – you saw me before I was born.” Psalm 139:13-15 (Good News Bible)

Beautifully written with many truths. What a privilege God has given women. I am way passed that time in my life but I would not trade anything for the experience. GOD BLESS YOU
