While standing at the mirror combing my hair
the thoughts about shoes came to my mind
How you try to wear another person's shoes
and I thought, why did it come, at this time
Then it came who are you, is the first question
second, do you know what God told you to do
Well if this is so, then you have the answer
in what God has chosen for you
It's not what others think you should wear
for God already knew the right kind for thee
and it shouldn't matter what they say
He knows where he wants you and me
We may try to wear someone else's shoes
but, find that they hurt our feet
For they were the wrong size and just didn't work
and would only bring defeat
They were not the one's God chose for us
It was what they thought you should wear
and then that walk, becomes a bit hard
and that vision won't go anywhere
O' women of wisdom, keep the faith
and God will lead you in your walk each day
keep your heads held high and claim the sky
and let nothing sway you away
We don't have to begrudge another's walk
for each has their place in God
So take the key of wisdom, which is his word
and let it forever in your heart abide
