One wonders when, the scars will heal
how long will the tears go on
When many wounds, are re-opened again
after you thought that they had gone
You had your feet planted on solid ground
not looking back on the torrid past
For when you found a reason to want to live
you began to pray that it would last
But life can be cruel at times we know
it seems to always bring us pain
Though we try so hard to master it
but it looks like it's all in vain
You see no one knows what's behind the mask
they cannot see the hidden scars
They don't know you are fighting, the wars within
after being shut behind invisible bars
But, I heard a soft voice, say come unto me
and I will wipe every tear away
Plus, take your sorrows and mend your heart
then the new mask will have a smile today
