HEAR YE HIM!
Dear Friends,
We are hearing many voices today. There are the false teachers, apostles and prophets, and on top of all that; there are those who are putting out all types of disinformation.
Never before in the history of mankind has there been a need to have the mind of Christ, and discernment as a true Christian.
On the Mount of Transfiguration, God brought a few of His disciples together. They were Peter, James and John. Jesus was transfigured, and there also appeared Moses and Elias, which represented the Law and the Prophets.
Peter being very impulsive, wanted to set up three tabernacles which would put Moses and Elias on an equal par with Jesus Christ. Peter was immediate corrected as God the Father, spoke to Peter, James and John, and He said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him.”
“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with Him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead” (Matthew 17:1-9 KJV).
I believe that God Almighty, is saying the same thing today. We are to study the law and the prophets in the Word of God, but what Jesus Christ said to us is of utmost importance. It is the highest Truth because it came from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Himself.
I remember, that one of our forefathers, Thomas Jefferson had cut out all of the words of Jesus Christ, and he had pasted Jesus Christ's words in a small book that he kept next to his bed. He understood that every Word in The Bible is important, but the Words of Jesus Christ are imperative to understand and obey.
The Apostle Paul also warned the Christians not to be confused in who they listened to and followed.
He so that there was so much division in the Body of Christ because one followed Paul, and another followed Apollos, and another Cephas. Paul asked them, “Is Christ divided?” Who was crucified for you, or whose Name were you baptized into?
The Apostle Paul was trying to give the Christians a reality break. He was trying to get them to understand that they were bringing division into The Body of Christ.
12 “Now this I say , that every one of you saith , I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided ? was Paul cified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize , but to preach the gospel : not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect” 1 Cor. 1:12-17).
Paul told the Christians that God's wisdom is far higher than any finite being. The foolishness of God is wiser than men. In short, the mind of finiate man cannot even be compared with God The Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Truth that The Holy Spirit brings to God's people.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written , I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe . 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified , unto the Jews a stumblingblock , and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men” (1 Cor. 1:18-25).
The Apostle reiterates that God purposely calls those who are not wise, mighty or noble after the flesh, but He choses the foolish, base, and despised of the world to confound the so-called wise of the world.
People who think that they know it all, and that are arrogant and proud cannot be used by God.
They have disqualified themselves because they have confidence in themselves and not in Almighty God.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised , hath God chosen , yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are : 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence . 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written , He that glorieth , let him glory in the Lord”
(1 Cor. 1:12-31).
Jesus Christ alone deserves to be heard and glorified. He alone proved His love for each one of us.
He alone came and offered Himself as a living sacrifice for even the least of us. He alone was the acceptable propitiation for our sins. He alone was worthy to be the perfect “Lamb of God Who Took away the sins of the world”.
Let's stop being tossed around by every wind of doctrine, man-made, doctrines of demons and those that are basically pushing their own agendas.
Let's grow up into the image of Jesus Christ, and into maturity where we are led by The Holy Spirit.
Those are the Sons and Daughters of God that are led by The Holy Spirit.
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ:” (Eph. 4:15).
