In the list of the many things money can buy and which can be obtained by human effort, does not come life and hope.
Being human, the rich and successful also die and face failures and heartbreaks.
Who then is free from all these problems? Who then can have the true assurance of life and stability?
'Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
Who keeps our soul among the living,
And does not allow our feet to be moved.'
Psalm 66:8-9 (NKJV)
Only God is the source of all blessedness in our life.
I do not intend to say that when you believe in God, you shall not face physical death, or some or the other time in your life you will not be surrounded by the grip of problems.
The Psalmist above speaks about the soul, who will surely land in hell (death) without Jesus and heaven (life) with the Lord.
As for the problems we face in life, who would be a better example to learn from than King David, who faced innumerable problems in his life, yet every time the Lord sustained him and kept him.
David from his life's experience makes this bold statement which we too can inherit in our life and be blessed....
'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.'
Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
Dear One!!! Life in God is glorious even when amidst a storm, and life without God is without hope at every moment.
