We have been hearing many different doctrines and opinions about the endtimes. Some of the "leaders" are telling us that we will be physically taking over the world, some are telling us that we will be out of here before we go through any tribulations, some are telling us to hoard stuff for the coming times, and the list goes on and on.
What did Jesus tell us about the end times?
(Rev. 2:10) "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."
Jesus Christ spent much of His time on earth warning us about the wolves disguised as sheep, the coming perilous times, and He was consistently telling us to repent for The Kingdom of Heaven was at hand.
When He was asked if the people that were killed when the tower fell were worse than them; He said that they should repent or they too would be killed. In short, other disasters, i.e. Haiti's earthquake, are a warning to all of us to repent. We have all fallen short of the glory of God.
Jesus was consistently warning us to repent, watch and pray, and to pray that we will not enter into temptation. He taught us to also pray that His Kingdom would come and His will be done in earth as it is in heaven. We need to pray for His Will, His Truth and His Way, and He will do the rest by The mighty power of The Holy Spirit!
He gave us many parables, i.e. the five wise virgins that had their oil ready. We need to have the fire of God, the love of God, and our hearts seeking Him first and His righteousness at all times. The Lord has to be first in our lives, and we need to be led by The Holy Spirit every day. We need to pray for a love for the truth, and that we will be able to overcome in this life.
Jesus, Himself told us everything we need to know for the coming times. He told us to deny ourselves, take up our crosses and follow Him every day, and we are to offer our very lives unto God a living sacrifice which is our reasonable service.
A famous, young martyr once said, "It is no fool, who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose". The Lord will never give us more than we can bear, and to live is Christ and to die is gain.
The Lord overcame the whole world, and He gave us the power to do the same. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
All those who try and live a godly life will be persecuted, but we are told to rejoice because the true prophets before were also persecuted. The Chinese Christians rejoice when they are tortured because they consider it a great honor.
May The good Lord raise up those with the spirit of Jonah, because Ninevah was the most terrible city of the day, and the people repented down to the cows. America, wake up, and repent.
If we will humble ourselves, pray, seek The Lord's face and turn from our wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and He will heal our land.
This is our only hope America. Wake up, and turn to The Lord before it is too late!
