Author requests article critique

The days have long since passed by,
But the memories;
Still bring a tear to my eyes.

The things I've done,
Decisions I've made;
I ask him,
"Lord when will they ever fade ?

My heart has been broken and torn all apart,
How and when it happened;
I wouldn't know where to start.

For I put my trust in man you see,
And in return;
That's what he gave to me.

Now I live with doubt and with fear,
Not really knowing;
If he's being sincere.

Can a heart be mended after so much pain ?
Have I everything to lose;
And nothing to gain ?

When will it end ,
Is it too much to ask ;
Of him whom can do all,
Is it too big a task ?

To wipe away the tear,
To take away the fear;
To mend this broken heart,
To give my life a brand new start ?

By others the damage was done,
Are there more like me;
Or am I,
The only one ?

Each day I try to be a little atronger,
I try to hold on;
Just a little while longer.

It must be him from whence cometh my strength,
For when those clouds get dark;
He makes me stop and think...

Of where my life started,
And of the places I've been;
Of what I am now;
And who I was then.

I marvel at the site I see,
Of the changes;
He has made in me.

He bore the pain of death,
On the cross that day;
So I could now live,
He took the sin away.

And give me everlasting life,
Without remorse;
Without the pain,
Without the strife.

He's still my heart
Healing;
And is still always,

Revealing.

Great poem! If your ever going over it again, you might want to fix the first line of the 10th verse. I think it should read stronger. This poem describes some emotions I am familiar with. Thank you for submitting it.
