Somewhere in my valley
That you have set for me
There is the light of Jesus
Watching and caring for me.
You know the plans you have for me
I know that I am blessed
Because I have a wonderful counselor
To whom I can make request.
The knowing that you give to me
Even in unanswered prayer
Knowing they’re not unanswered
But knowing that you care.
So as this new day set before me
With blessings outnumbered I know-
That you will lead, guide and direct
In the way you would have me to go.
Oftimes it seems I’m all alone
Really, I never am
Because dear Lord you are with me
You are holding my hand.
Thank you for this brand new day
Where there are no mistakes
Let me stay close to you
So I don’t make a mess of the slate.
A table is set before me
The choice is mine to make.
