Time does not erase the vision of your face,
The comfort of your smile
the sense of empty space.
For as the years go by, my heart just seems to lie
In years that are far gone;
In time that has passed by.
They say that time will heal hurt that wounds reveal
But I am finding out
The pain is deeper still.
So, I must flee to God the Son, who this earth trod,
Who only knows the pain;
the overwhelming flood
Of grief that knows no ease in trials such as these,
Who, by His Spirit,comes
And makes my sorrow cease.
