Invest your life in things that last
Not temporary things,
And judge them by eternity,
These daily offerings.
Too many times we stubble make,
For gold our lives were formed,
Eternity must guide our hands,
The tasks we have performed.
One day we'll finally understand
The time and wealth we waste,
Lord, give me Your perspective
So You won't be disgraced.
"But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well." Matthew 6:33 (Contemporary English Version)
"And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father.
Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ." Colossians 3:17, 23-24 (New Living Translation)
