I prayed for you today…
That the Spirit would draw you near
He’d wrap you in His loving arms
And erase your pride and fear

I prayed for you today…
That you’d be convicted of your sin
And your heart would almost burst
For the way that you have been

I prayed for you today…
Even though you may scorn and mock
Deep down inside I think you know
You desperately need….The Rock

I prayed for you today…
Jesus filled me with His peace
He asked me to tell you one more time
His love for you will never cease

I prayed for you today…
Just like I have for many years
But this time I’m leaving it all with Him
I’ve had enough of the hurt and tears…
