Author requests article critique

The air is still
Heat is intense
The sweating bodies
Purposed and tense.

Below the surface
Unseen to the eye
The power in the elements
Begins to collide.

A second, a minute
A stifled scream
Darkness descends
The earth shakes free.

The black-skins die
The white-skins too
Death knows no prejudice
Neither pick nor choose.

Lord, Have Mercy
We cry.
Lord, Have Mercy
They die.
Lord, Have Mercy
Provide.
Lord, Have Mercy
We cry.
