Having helped a person, a good person doing so would definitely expect an attitude of gratitude expressed with a common word called 'Thank you' which would not be less to a good work done than a beautiful icing upon a delicious cake.
King David encourages us to give glory and honor to God always...
'Give unto the LORD, O you mighty ones,
Give unto the LORD glory and strength.'
Psalm 29:1 (NKJV)
and why should we do so????
“ You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Revelation 4:11 (NKJV)
because God is worthy to receive all the glory and honor, for He created us and the good things in us and He keeps us and all the good things in us.
and what manner of glory should we give to Him?
'Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name;
Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.'
Psalm 29:2 (NKJV)
We have to give the best glory to God.
God would never accept our formal 'Thank You' or our praises which arise out of an uncheerful heart.
What should we do to thank Him?
'What shall I render to the LORD
For all His benefits toward me?
I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of the LORD.
I will pay my vows to the LORD
Now in the presence of all His people. '
Psalm 116:12-14 (NKJV)
Our thanks to God should be in our praises to Him through our life and continuously fulfilling His perfect will in our life daily.
Dear One!!! Thank You to God is really very important, it will bring a smile upon his face and will begin a blessed relation of understanding with Him where everyday would be filled with new blessings and hope as He delights in our acknowledgements to Him for all His wondrous works.
God bless,
Abraham
