Windows and Reflections
10-16-2003 Sarah Balk

Looking out a window
Hoping the scene will change
But as I look over and over
Over again
Itís the same
Place outside my window.
Same face in the mirror
Every morning
Repetition,
Admonition,
Exaltation,
Gone fishing.
Like catching the same fish
From the same lake
Every time you go,
Like opening a closet
To all the same clothes.
Hope makes all things different
Love makes all things new
Itís just a bad day today
Let my hope be in You.
I have fallen short,
Far below 5í3Ē
Only You can bring me up,
So help me, get past me.
Then maybe Iíll see
Others outside my window
Instead of the reflection of my face
Maybe if I change myself,
Others will have strength to do the same.

If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

I like the quiet power this piece has. The one long stanza adds to what I believe you're wanting to describe in an ordinary day. Nice!
