As the new decade unfolds, where has humankind come from and where are they going? We have seen many good things nurture, our technology, the expansion of capitalism, conversion of communism to democrat governance, even the continuation to explore space. However, have we experienced the full meaning of Love?
Matthew 5 states, “But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.” This teaching from Jesus Christ is bold and rarely taken to heart although many preach this, but practice a far different way of life. So, today I pray for humankind not to retaliate when others seek to persecute you. The teaching of Jesus Christ keeps us from taking the law into our hands. By loving and praying for our enemies, we can overcome entering the same fate as our enemies.
