What if every Christian went on one mission trip in their life time?
I have gone on 2 mission trips, one for almost 3 months and the other for just a week. My husband has gone to Ukraine each summer for two weeks for the past 4 years. This summer I am going to go with him. I personally feel that every Christian would be changed if they would just go. Too often though we come up with excuses as to why we can't go. And with each excuse another soul dies and goes to hell. We act as if our actions, or lack of action, has no affect on the world around us. But what if you were the one who was supposed to go and tell that person who just died today?
There are so many organizations that offer short term trips. New Tribes Missions, International Mission Board, just to name 2.
So my question for you today is this, what is your excuse? Too old, too young, too poor, too busy, too... What if Christ had said he was too old, young, poor, busy to die on the cross for us?
Okay, I understand that this really may not be the time for you to go. But have you thought of ways you can help others? Here's ways you can be involved: Pray ~~ for the people going, for the people of the place they are going to, for the family staying behind at home, for all the details. Give ~~ Money is needed and so is supplies. Prepare others to go ~~ I know that with our trips there are lots that need to be done. For example crafts need to be cut out, supplies need to be sorted and bagged up.
There is someway you can be involved in missions, and it's your reasonable service to the Lord.
