No Rigid Demands
We're free, we're forgiven,
No rigid demands,
The weight we have carried
Released by God's hands.
What freedom! What joy!
We're released yet we serve,
We delight in His love
Though His anger deserve.
His love's not contingent
On all that we do,
A gift not a loan
That will someday come due.
Grace points to what He did,
Not what I must do,
His love's undeserved
But it makes me brand new.
"Therefore if any person is (ingrafted) in Christ, the Messiah, he is (a new creature altogether,) a new creation; the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!" II Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified)
