On The Wings Of Worship
God comes on the wings of our worship
When we're in the midst of our pain,
The gateways of heaven swing open
When praise from our lips we ordain.
Not based on emotions praise comes from our faith
When darkness is all that we see,
No matter what happens He's worthy of praise,
He sees all, yet loves you and me.
He never abandons His children,
He rides on the winds of our storms,
It's when we're most needy that He is most near,
Through blustering winds He transforms.
There's nothing that He's not aware of,
There's nothing that He's not allowed,
For nothing can touch us apart from His will,
He's there in the midst of the cloud.
"Lord, You have a reason, that's all I need know,
And though I can't feel You, You're here,
So I'll simply trust You and ride out the storm,
What You have allowed, I'll not fear."
"From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger." Psalm 8:2 (NIV)

I particularly like the line "He rides on the wings of my storm." That conveys such strength and power! Too often we see Him portrayed as timid, meek and mild, turning the other cheek, and letting people walk all over Him. But this one line is a wonderful reminder that He controls our lives when we ask Him to and can thwart the efforts of our enemies. Praise His name forever and ever!
Beautiful..."There's nothing can touch us apart from His will." In that do I put my trust.
I seem to keep hearing this message, no matter what direction I turn. I guess it's something we all need to really remember. Thanks, Carol, this was beautiful.
Carol, this is a beautiful poem. The message is one that we all need to hear at different times in our lives. What a blessing it is when we actually remember to have this attitude in those times when we most need it. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you Carol, a cry may endure in the night but joy comes in the morning. Keep up the good work, you are a great encourager to many. Love sent, Justus
