(Mark 11:22-25) And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. (23) For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (24) Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Do we have faith in God? We operate by faith every day and don’t even know it. Every time you go to sit on a chair there is no thought of its failure to hold you up. You have absolute faith that it will sustain your weight. We even have more faith in our friends than we do God. Faith is absolute trust and confidence in something. In the 23rd verse it says that when we have faith in God we can tell a mountain to move and it will happen. More often than not this is referring to the mountains we face in every day life, but let me warn you God can move a physical mountain if He desires. It also states in the same verse that you should have no doubt in your heart. Did you know that you can have doubt in your mind and have faith in your heart? Remember it is always the heart that is important to God because an individuals heart reveals the true individual. Faith resides in the spirit of an individual and can only be strengthened by spiritual exercise. The rest of the 23rd and 24th verses emphasize that when you pray believe that you will receive that which you asked for and you will have it. That is a promise from the Father. Finally in verse 25, it tells us one of the biggest hindrances to answered pray. It is unforgiveness toward others. You can have all the faith in the world, but if you have not forgiven someone, your faith is powerless.
(Galatians 5:6) For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; BUT FAITH WHICH WORKETH BY LOVE.
The verse we just read says that regardless of who you are or what you do it won’t profit you anything. Only faith which works by love.
(Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
God is no different than we are when it comes to people believing us. If people don’t believe what you say or do, you wouldn’t have much pleasure in them. God is the same way. It is impossible to please Him. You must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. It is all about having a hunger for the things of God. He will never let you down regardless of your circumstance. Build your faith in God and the mountains of life will move on your behalf. God promised that every high place will be leveled and every low place will be exalted. There is only one direction with God and that is up. So put your trust in Him today. Be Blessed!!!
