At Christmas, we are reminded of the Reason why the Son of God came to be born in the manger. The magnitude of this heavenly transaction can only be understood when we realize Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, came humbly to the Cross to pay the ransom and mark our bill "tetelestai" (fully paid) because we could not redeem ourselves and only through His blood did we gain freedom - from Sin.
