2: It is the chord of unity that binds all believers in common fellowship, (ie, Koinonia)
Fellowship fellows-in-the-same-ship
Doctrinal disagreements may remain
Essential values will always be upheld
3: It is a common seal of God on believers as the redeemed of the Lord
4: It is a mark of the Covenant Coverage we enjoy in the Lord
5: It builds an invincible and invisible blood fence of protection around us
6: It guarantees that the eyes of God shall ever be towards us for good
7: It introduces the Zo๋ life of God into all those who partake of it
8: It is an open profession of our faith and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ
9: It is a solemn activity which brings about:
A renewal of our commitment to the Lord
A strengthening of our faith in the Lord
A commitment to fulfill all our Christian duties and obligations
A covenant to a lifestyle of self-denials and sacrificial living
A decision to live an exemplary life that glorifies God, and
A pledge to take the Great Commission to the ends of the earth
10:It is a consummation of our spiritual marriage to the Lord Jesus, (Mark 14:22-25)
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, cause me to approach your banquet table with a clean heart, (Heb 10:22)
2. Lord, cleanse my conscience and make it void of offences, (Acts 24:16)
3. Lord, wash me thoroughly with your word and the blood of Christ, (Ephe 4:26)
4. Lord, purge my heart from all iniquities and create a new heart within me, (Ps 51:2, 10)
5. Lord, I have examined my heart in the light of Your word, please, cause me to now approach and partake of Your banquet table, (2 Cor 11:28)
