Too Long

Too long oh Lord
I've been battered and bruised
Too long oh Lord
I've been tossed around...confused
Too long oh Lord
I've struggled in pain
Too long oh Lord
Too long
I've been broken and empty
Too long
Too long
have I been living dead in sin
wondering in the wilderness...thirsty
not flourishing.

But according unto the multitude of Your tender mercies
those bonds are a thing of the past
You gave me Christ
my new lease on life
In Him even unto death I am still alive
I've triumphed over what I used to be
and I'm marching ahead in Christ
to what I must become.

Thank God in Christ we have a future kept in heaven for us that nothing can touch! "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy--to the only God our Savior be glory..." Jude 24
