Poetry
In the night the past is buried,
With the morning a fresh start,
Spending time with God at sunrise
That day's strength He will impart.
For with Him we leave all failures,
And with Him remain all care,
Lying at the feet of Jesus
Where we placed them through our prayer.
We can walk away unburdened,
Face the day with peace within,
For we've given Him our worries,
Received pardon for our sin.
Lacking peace? Then you have carried
Burdens meant to be laid down,
For He is our Burden Bearer
And you're needlessly weighed down.
One day's strength will be provided,
For that only we can pray,
Yesterday is gone forever
And tomorrow's far away.
In the twilight we can thank Him
For the mercies He has shown,
For provision for tomorrow
As we kneel before His throne.
"Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace--the throne of God's unmerited favor (to us sinners); that we may receive mercy (for our failures) and find grace to help in good time for every need--appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it." Hebrews 4:16 (Amplified)
