I have come to understand this thing in life, that whenever people make the statement, ‘We have to be realistic’ then it means that they have given up. Another meaning I have also deduced from such a statement is that they want to settle for mediocre positions. They also tend to bulge down to fleshy desires.
Being realistic as a believer is to be that which will cause us to settle for nothing less than the promises of God concerning our life. He has said in His Word that He knows the plans that he has for us, plans to bring us unto an expected end. Nothing short of our expected end has God promised. He will surely take us there.
There is nothing more realistic than what God has promised. It is spiritual though but it is more tangible than the physical things we crave passionately for. We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. The fact that we have not experienced it physically does not mean God has failed us. He is still in the business of blessing his children.
Art thou weary, art thou worried or perplexed? Art thou confused and totally dismayed? You need not be because God is not slake concerning his promises. Cast all they burdens unto Him for He cares. He will never leave thee nor forsake thee. Count on Him all the time. Rest secure in His arms.
Let us be realistic (fixing our eyes on the spiritual) knowing that He that has called us is faithful and He will do it.
