but you don't know who God is
so you're just keepin' it REAL!?
For you;
the devil has written a new rhythm
satan has recycled sin
and now he's calling it...REALism
it sounds much better
and it suits your lifestyle so much easier
yes, being REAL
is the new word for sin.
REALism takes God for granted
it gives Him ALL the blame
it tells you God doesn't exist
and still
you keep-on writing your hopeful wish list.
REALism is naked of compassion
it carries no mercy for humanity
it is vain, it kills
it has no shame
REALism is being gay (same sex either way!)
it declares its innocence
while it keeps you sinking, keeps you reaching, keeps you searching
the recycling
never ends.
REALism is wherever the wind and the tide goes
it is always empty, always hungry
it is coy, it destroys souls
and then it smiles and growls
and writes yet another melody to be played
so you skip along...
you're not hurting anyone
you're just keepin' it REAL.
