No one knows how i feel
even in a crowd i feel alone
wounded by the memories of war and disasters
i stand all alone
like a prisoner of war kept in solitude and
tortured
i must endure all alone
No one can understand the pain i face as each day
i awake
to face this all alone
Rejection , fear , anxiety , plague and torture
me till it destroys all that i know and love
so i end up alone
to face it all by my self
so i stand alone

A heart wrenching poem of a tortured soul. You are right. Unless you have experienced war you can not understand what someone is going through. But you
can offer empathy. You can be there for them when they are ready to reach out.
