Looking up through the trees I am transported by the beauty of your creation.
Entranced by your skillful white brush strokes in the sky, and how you have begun to paint the leaves with the colors of autumn.
I love watching the leaves carelessly fall to the ground, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. The familiar crisp smell of the change in season as the sun filters through the treetops.
Father your artistry is so beautiful and pristine its almost easy to forget the times that we are in.
Such peace and beauty, yellow and red leaves floating to earth.
How can they say that you don't exist?
and then you remind me how we often go about our lives not even noticing the orchestra of nature playing in the background.
Forgive us LORD for being distracted by the things we have constructed with our own hands.
Forgive us for not seeing your love and care for us in all the things you have created with us in mind.
LORD forgive those who are blind, distracted and to numb to see how your touch is upon all things.
Father I praise you for the works of your hands, This beautiful garden - Earth- that you have so thoughtfully and purposely created.
I am amazed that you thought enough of me to paint me into this picture, into this time and place. Thank you LORD for placing me here. I want nothing more than to know you.
When I look, really look at the miracle of creation I feel so small. Father I pray that the revelation of creation will always remind me of the beauty that abounds in us.
LORD I want to glorify you just as the beautiful autumn leaves and the wonderfully brushed stroked sky.
Paint in me a picture of who I am.
