I don't know what happened.
Talk about your horror story!
I just woke up and there I was,
No longer in my former glory.

I was stiff and wrinked
when I woke up the other day,
I couldn't see well and had no hair,
I believe it was the 1st of May.

I woke my wife and said "Look here,
what happened here last night!"
Then I looked at her and gave a gasp,
she really looked a fright!

We both looked much the same
And there was little doubt
It must have been something in the house
Maybe it was that new grout.

We rushed to the doctor and inquired of him,
"What can this thing be?"
He leaned back, gave us a smile
then said "Now let me see.

And the doctor said:
No more monkeys jumping on the bed!
NO! That's not what he said,
Though it would be equally true!

How can I explain this,
So you don't get mad?
You've not noticed changing all these years.
Its really not that bad.

You see, when you pass a certain age,
You start to fall apart.
Can you remember when you were young?
You knew this from the start.

Your legs get thin and very weak,
arms get small and skin sags down
Your muscles and back begin to ache
Its just part of life, now don't you frown!

There's only one other choice,
I think you get my meaning.
Though you complain with a loud voice,
you can't return to be a weanling."

We went back home
With hang dog look.
So sure that he was wrong
We bought a brand new book.

It told us of a sure fire cure,
So we did just what it said
We sat in darkened room with
Vinegar and brown paper on our head.

Sad to say, it did no good.
We were just like as before,
This did not improve our mood.
We sat and cried and looked forlorn.

At last we had to accept our state
We had no coice you see
It's all a part of fleeting life,
'Twas always meant to be!

Cute and clever! A couple of the rhymes seemed a bit forced, but overall a very enjoyable and funny piece!
