“Saying It”
If I could have just one wish
To share with you on Mother’s Day
It would be to tell you
All the things I want to say
I know that we don’t say it
Like we really should
Sometimes we do not show it
Even when we could
The words do not come easy
Like a hug or a small touch
But I have to tell you
That I love you very much
All I have ever wanted
Is behind the closed front door
I have but one desire and
It is to know you more
Thank you for letting me tell you
What I have always wanted to say
And for letting me share with you
On this special Mother’s day
