I am sure we are all familiar with the following scripture:

Luke 12;22-34 And He said unto His disciples, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take you thought for the rest. Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will He clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the Kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in heaven that faileth not, where no thief appoacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. "

Well, my family and I are going to do just that! We are going to take no thought for our lives, sell what we have and put our total trust in God. Sounds kind of easy, huh? It is easy to write those words on paper, and we can even create beautiful poems and odes about them, but have you walked out those Words? To take no thought for your life, and to take no thought for your 15 year old sons life, and to sell all you have, goes against everything we were taught as children of this world. But God said:

Luke 14;25-28 And there went great multitudes with Him: and He turned and said unto them, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple. For which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?"

The cost my friends, IS YOUR LIFE and ALL THAT YOU HAVE! I am not real sure how this “Candy Coated Christianity” came about but what I have experienced is not at all what the Church has taught me. It takes a lot more from me than just to believe there is a God, and a Savior Jesus Christ, to fulfill what God created me to do. Yes, I did repent and still do, and yes I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior but the problem with “Candy Coated Christianity” is the Lordship! If Christians are going to use Jesus as Savior, then He has to be your LORD! Did Jesus ever take thought for His life? Did He not trust God for His food, clothing, and housing? Did not all of His disciples leave EVERYTHING to follow Him? Did Jesus not tell us all the same thing? Did you read the above scripture about “Take no thought for your life”? What He required from His disciples in the bible, He still requires it from His disciples in our generation! He has not changed the rules of the kingdom nor will He ever! The following scripture states it again:

Matthew 16;24-27 Then Jesus said unto His disciples, " If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works."

Deny yourselves, take up your cross and follow Him! Are you doing that? What works will you be known for? When Jesus comes back, He will reward every man according to his works! Will Jesus reward a man for (so called) “Taking care” of his family? Not according to the above mentioned scriptures! If a man truly wanted to “take care” of his family, then he would, submit to Gods Lordship and do what Jesus did! Where in the bible does it say, that a man or woman should work for money and be a servant to “stuff” (house, car, possessions, ect.)? All of that “stuff” is of this world, and if your are working everyday to keep that “stuff” then your work is what? What will your reward be?

Matthew 4; 8-10 Again, the devil taketh Him up unto an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto Him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, "Get the hence, Satan: for it is written, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE."

1 Corinthians 7: 23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

What are you serving folks? Are you serving the kingdom of this world and the glory of them? Church, it is time to be honest about what we are doing and what we say we believe.

Matthew 6;24 Jesus said; " No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."(*)

Mammon is money, or riches, = worldly stuff

1 John 2; 15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Is your house not of this world? Are you taking your house to heaven? Are you taking your car to heaven? Are you taking money, gold, or silver with you? Do you want to get your kids and spouse into heaven? Then you had best do what Jesus said and do the will of God and teach your family to do the same!

Ephesians 5; 15-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly; not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Will you be wise or a fool?

Matthew 7;21-29 Jesus said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of the Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine: For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

There are people mentioned above that are able to cast out devils but will still not get into heaven! What about all their wonderful works? God does not seem to be impressed with what THEY DID AT ALL! The only ones that will enter heaven are the ONES THAT DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER!

Luke 6: 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

What a statement for the Church today! “Why call Me LORD and do not what I say”? Are you doing any of the above mentioned Words of the Lord? Start at the top and be brutally honest with your self, are you doing what He said?

Luke 6: 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

What is he like Lord, that does what You say?

Luke 6: 48-49 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

If you have done what He says, then you have laid a foundation on a rock! If you have not done what He said, then my friend, it will be destroyed! But what about those that have forsaken EVERYTHING and followed Him?

Mark 10;28-30 Then Peter began to say unto Him, Lo we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, "Verily, I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundred fold now in this time, houses, and children, and lands, with persecution, and in the world to come eternal life."

A hundred fold now in this time and eternal life in the world to come! WOW!

Matthew 11;28-30 "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

John 6;27-29 Jesus said: "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the son of man shall give unto you; for Him hath God the Father sealed." Then they said unto Him, "What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said unto them, "This is the work of God that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent."

Are you a laborer? Do you labor for the things that are in your possession? Do you feel like you are in bondage and always struggling to maintain? YOU DO NOT HAVE TO! For His burden is light and His yoke is easy! What about doing the works of God? The work of God is for you to believe ON Jesus and follow His Leadership! Sounds kind of simple but it requires ALL OF YOU! His kingdom is not about what you think, you want or you feel, it is about doing what HE created you to do! Are you willing to be ALL THAT YOU CAN BE?

Well friends, I will follow up later with the testimony and may we all bring glory to the Father! AMEN!
