Jesus revealed the heavenly truths not in hard and tough puzzles,
rather in parables easy to understand and related to our daily lives.
One such parable is the parable of the sower given in the gospel of Luke Chapter 8:4-15
“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
Luke 8:11 (NKJV)
The Lord wonderfully exaplained the various different kinds of grounds on which the precious seed is sown.
The seed (Word of God) is effective, active and gives life, however the soil on which it falls also determines the fruit.
The seed sprouts and bears fruits only in the good and prepared ground, wherein it bears abundant fruit and the ground is blessed.
All other types other than those that are prepared remain barren and fruitless.
We have to receive the Word of the Lord with a longing heart and with a willingness to obey.
The Word of God can change the barrenness of our life and make us fruitful.
"How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You."
Ps. 119:9-11
"Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path."
Ps. 119:105
"You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies;
For they are ever with me."
Ps. 119:98
Thus let us prepare ourselves today and everyday to receive the wonderful blessings from the blessed Word of God.
