My Personal Memory Jogger

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. Along with his other official duties, he serves as a memory jogger, bringing to your remembrance teachings you have been taught, keeping you within the laws of God. As a Spirit of wisdom and revelation, the Spirit will not teach you a new gospel, but bring to your mind all things that you have been taught, leading you into the understanding of it. While he may guide you in the path you must follow, it is your choice to listen and Obey.

It is a clear promise that the Holy Spirit will teach us and remind us of all truths that is needful for our salvation. If the same Spirit who wrote the sacred scriptures do not take the veil from off of our hearts, and enable us to understand and improve them, we will be never the better.

How this blessing is procured - Jesus Christ is ordained for men to make intercession. The gift of the Holy Spirit is a fruit of Christ's mediation, purchased by his merit, and taken out by his intercession.
The giver of this blessing. The same God that gave his son to be our Saviour will give his Spirit to be our comforter. Jesus sends the comforter, but our Heavenly Father is the prime agent.

Those that have an acquaintance with the Spirit have a comfortable assurance of his continuing wisdom and revelation. He is one whom the world cannot receive; but you know him. Therefore he will abide with you as you abide with him. He shall be your constant guide and attendant.

Ask Yourself:

Does the Spirit of truth abide in you?
