I don’t like to see you this way
I’m sure there is something I can do…
“Oh Father. I just lost my job.
And I’m feeling real sick
And the doctor’s prices are too high”.
“The bills are piling up.
The mortgage is overdue.
And we just can’t seem to get by”.
“If YOU could take my blues.
And cast them in YOUR deep blue sea.
And have the tides takes them away”.
“Or lift me high.
Like the pale blue sky.
And let me see again
The light of day”.
I know that you are worried
I know that you’re afraid.
Here is exactly what you should do.
Just take all of your troubles and give them to ME
And I promise.
You will never again be blue…
