One day while viewing the house of my heart
I saw the inside was falling apart
The walls were crumbling and the floors sagged too
I searched my mind frantically in desperation
What...Oh what shall I do?
Then one came my way and said to me
Your house needs rebuilding, that I can see
Would you trust me to see what I can do
To remake your house and make it stand true
I said, "I've tried all else without avail,
If it continues as is disaster will prevail
So do what you will, remake every room
Paint the inside and out, prevent its doom
There is but one condition, this one said to me
You will have to let me live there for all eternity
I'll fix the house of your heart...remake it in every way
But I must have full control...the answer is for you to say.
And I said yes to this friend, Jesus Christ by name
The house of my heart has never been the same
It is clean and pure from within and without
And that Christ can keep it I have no doubt.
