Times are hard, job losses, mothers, or father’s health failing, some are struggling with an unruly children. If only these things were not to be. Crying and Praying brings no solace to the sprit. We ask the Lord for Peace but the pressures of life press down as a winepress squeeze juice from the grape.
External and internal forces contrary to goodness control the pressure of life. In the beginning of Gensis, God spoke, “Let there be light” and saw that the light was good. Then He divided light from darkness where in John 1 talks of how the light shines through darkness. Our focus is the light of God not the darkness of humankind.
2 Corth 4:8-12 “We are pressed on every side of this human experience, but we are not crushed and broken. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We are knocked down, but get up again and keep going. Through the suffering of this human experience, we share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen through our commitment to live a Christlike lifestyle. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be obvious in our human experience. So, we live in the face of death, but the result is eternal life.”
So don’t be fooled by the sinful nature that you are fighting against. Rom 8:5-8 “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Sprit think about things that please the Sprit. If your sinful nature controls you mind, there is death. But if the Holy Sprit controls your mind, there is life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature never can please God.”
Remember, Jesus is the way and the Light not human nature neither the current lifestyle, as we know it today. Also, if you are at the end of your rope, remember that you are not at the end of hope.
