This is a story that does not relate to just anyone. Yet there are some that we all know this could reach out to.
You have a great life, family, job, house, vehicles. You are involved in the community and on occasions attend Church. Here lately everything has just been so hectic. You are working a lot of overtime. Maybe you or a family member has been ill. There is a lot to do around the house. Maybe you found a buddy to spend time with. So what is the problem, you may ask? Nothing yet as long as you realize what your priorities are. Does your buddy go to Church? If not how about your friends who honestly do? How many times have you not attended because something came up or you were too tired? Oh yes, I feel it is ok to get away every now and then, and if you are ill pray, yet use wisdom and stay home if needed. I am referring to the repeat offenders who eventually stray away from Godís Love. So when is the right time to get right with God? Now or tomorrow? And of course there are the what ifs. Ok what if this was to happen? You have finally decided to get back on track with God and for some reason you say tomorrow. You go to work everything seems the same, you may be a little enthused. You are on your way home and think; maybe you should stop by and talk to someone from your Church. Well of course you remember you have other plans and say that is for tomorrow. As the night draws to an end you think wow what a busy day. You are preparing to go to bed and you hear your spouse praying with your children. Later you hear your spouse praying before they go to bed. You think maybe then nah that is for tomorrow. You are finally in bed and as you fall asleep your mind is saying tomorrow while your heart is saying now. You wake up the next morning and realize you have overslept. That would explain why you are the only one home. This is Sunday, yes Sunday remember you have been working a lot of overtime. You decide to get ready and go to Church, better late than never right? You step outside and your spouseís vehicle is in the drive. Thatís fine they caught a ride. On your way you pass by a number of accidents, and there are a few vehicles you recognize. You finally arrive at Church and there are only a handful of vehicles. This is odd because this Church is always packed on Sunday mornings. You walk in and see people confused, crying, repenting and asking why. You get this uneasy feeling that something big just took place and you do not see your family anywhere. You go up to someone you recognize and start asking questions, only to get nothing in response. They are in shock and just plain horrified. You step back outside and panic and chaos is everywhere. People are screaming, crying all with dazed confused looks on their faces. You go back home. You go into your house and check the answering machine and your e-mail, nothing. You finally stop and sit down. You turn on the TV and the breaking news story is saying something about the return of Christ. Your stomach sinks, your nerves go haywire, it feels as if the room is spinning. Then you hear a voice saying no more tomorrows. Then you remember hearing of the Second Coming. You go and find your spouseís Bible and start reading. You say to yourself, hey there is still hope. Then the reality hits you. Your family is already in Heaven.
Now this is just a story that could very well come true for someone someday. The question is why? Yes there are a lot of feelings wrote down. I have no idea though how one would feel. Reason is I know I am cleared for take off. Thatís right, everything is checked and a go. Not only myself, also my wife and children. All because I refuse to live in doubt. Therefore I have checked, prayed, studied and always hunger for Godís Love. I not only attend Church faithfully, my wife and children also attend faithfully. My wife is taking bigger steps daily towards Godís Love, therefore I also am taking bigger steps daily towards Godís Love. We are getting more involved with Godís plan for our lives daily. We also are surrounded with individuals who also have a strong walk with God and they are also growing stronger in their walk with God daily. As sad as it is to say, there are those who continue to say what if or tomorrow. Some are too busy, while others say well you just do not understand. They are correct, I do not understand how some can just turn away from God or refuse to accept Godís Love. Why some insist their lives are great when they are trying to please others and not God. Why some have the illusion that they have all the answers and God is just a fairy tail. How they can witness blessings others receive only to say, well it was just their day. No, it was not just their day. It is and always will be The Day That The Lord Hath Made. Some rejoice and be glad in it, while others close their eyes to the fact. So are you ready for take off? One day, and no one knows except God, Jesus will return. Do not be one who is grounded. Be ready to fly, be ready For
