Childhood is something that we all have had
For better or worse… Good or bad...
Sometimes we reflect on our youth and think of times
Of laughter and of being at ease
Well reflect a little harder it wasn’t any of these.
Just look at the teenagers that you know in your own life
It seems that they don’t day without questions and strife.
“You don’t understand, or… you’re too old to know”
They forget you were their age once a long time ago.
“Man I can’t wait till I’m older, and finally out of school”
“I’ll be out on my own, won’t that be cool”
And when we think about our childhood
We think of simpler times…
Not of mortgages or our bill payments lagging behind.
So a toast to childhood to being happy and free
Just remember…
The next diapers that you change might be on yourself…
So whoop~pee…
