A rainy day, this first day of school,
kids are back in the fall routine;
and I am reminded that God's given me a life
better than I've ever dreamed...
I think back to those dark days when I was alone,
thinking life had nothing more;
til Jesus stepped in and rescued me,
gave me a new life and a husband I adore!
I thought that I'd always be alone,
when Jesus said 'come, follow Me...'
and when I did, a whole new world opened up,
and I learned to be truly free...
I discovered the Bible and Jesus told me to read,
to learn what was written inside;
as He got me ready for the rest of my life,
I met you and knew I'd soon be your bride!
Seems like yesterday, tho it was years ago,
but our love every day is brand new;
and I am so blessed that my heart always sings
out how much that I do LOVE YOU!!
I know you are part of God's lovely plan,
and there's much yet to come that's in store;
and every day is a discovery of joy,
who could ever ask for more??
But more I have each and every day,
God pours out His blessings so true;
and every day I thank and praise Him
that I am so blessed to say how much I LOVE YOU!!
