AUTUMN’S ALPHABET
Autumn’s apples call for pickin’,
Berry bunches bend the branch,
Currants, juicy, finger-lickin’
Dahlias sway in graceful dance.
Earth is bursting with God’s goodness,
Fertile fields display their ware,
Golden glows of glorious richness
Harvest’s bounty everywhere.
It’s that time! So rediscover
Jam and chutney recipe
Kilner jars - borrow from mother -
Laden productivity.
Marvel at this changing season
Nature’s colour chart sublime:
Orange, ochre, coral, crimson,
Palette of Artist Divine.
Quietly passing, autumn splendour
Reveal the great Creator’s power.
See the gifts of God, the sender,
Trees and produce, bush and flower.
Unimaginable bounty
Veggies, fruit, total untold
Wheat and corn, beauty surmounting,
Xanthic yellow, glistening gold.
Yearly never failing season
Zenith of the year. God said
They’d always be seedtime and harvest.
Praise Him for Autumn’s A to Z.
