Little Raji, was listening keenly as her father read the Bible that night. After the prayer, she said 'Daddy, why did Jesus have to come to earth to save us? He could have done something like how He created the light or the plants by just a Word?' Daddy smiled and said 'Darling, I am happy that you came up with this question. Jesus loves you more than how daddy loves you But I will tell you the answer tomorrow morning'. 'Ok' said Raji, still thinking for an answer, for her own
question.
The next morning, Raji woke up to the sound of chirping birds. She slowly peeped out of her window and saw a sparrow caught in the garbage.
Many birds were flying above unable to help the poor little sparrow. 'I can help this helpless sparrow out of its trap. It's only a piece of thread that is tied to its feet'.thought
Raji and came out of the house and walked on the dirt and mud to save the bird. But when the bird saw her, it got more scared and tried to flutter and fly away but it was getting into more trouble. Poor Raji felt helpless, but was relieved to see daddy, 'Daddy, can you save this bird, he is scared of me. If we don't save him the eagles above will eat him. If only I was a bird, he would have allowed me help him' said Raji with almost tears in her eyes. Daddy went in and pulled the little bird out of the mess. The bird was bit hurt but it flew away to safety.
Now Daddy turned to his smiling daughter and asked, 'Did you get the answer for your question you asked me yesterday?'. 'Yes Daddy, to save man God had to become aman., since He loved us very much, He left His heavenly life and came into this stinking world' 'You are right Raji. You are a clever girl' said Daddy, as they both walked towards the tap for a wash.
Jesus became like us so that He can save us from the Devil. When we do wrong, our consciousness pricks. That is the way God reminds us when we go in Satan's ways. If you would listen to God, He will be happy and will reward you. That is what Jesus is expecting from you -
To Love Him and to Serve Him.
