I love the Lord more
Than I do pleasure.
My relationship
With Him, I treasure.
I choose rather to
Suffer affliction—
Live with God’s people
Without conviction.
Enjoyment of sin
For a little while
Will only lead to
Consequences vile.
Like precious ointment,
I value my name.
I shall protect it—
Keep it free from blame.
