Following Christ is unlike anything else that you will ever do. To follow Plato, Darwin, Buddha, Humanism or any other number of belief systems, one only has to learn to think like the founders thought. To follow Christ is to die. When Jesus becomes your Savior, He also becomes your Lord; that means that you give up your rights to yourself now and forever and are at His disposal to do with as He pleases. His life becomes yours. It requires total faith, total trust and total obedience: many will hear and believe, few will actually follow all of the way.
Obedience to Christ is both easier and harder than anything else that you can do. Easier, for when you truly believe that Jesus is Who He says that He is, then there is simply nothing left for you to do but obey–for you there can be no other way for it is there that you find your life. It is harder because you will encounter pain unlike any that you have ever known. You, like Jesus Himself, will learn submission to God through suffering. You will be brought to nothingness by a loving Father so that He can recreate you into a vessel worthy of His use. You will experience the pain of being misunderstood by those around you, sometimes even fellow Christians, as you follow a path that they do not see. Take heart for it is these very experiences that God can use to create a heart like His in you.
When we truly give our lives to following Christ, God is our guide all the way. In that, we can be confident.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

Loved it once again! I am reminded of the following scripture in reference to this: Luke 14;25-28 And there went great multitudes with Him: and He turned and said unto them, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple. For which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?"
I know my experience over the last 14 years, can attest to this! It takes your WHOLE LIFE to serve God, but how many will give theirs? God help us, in Jesus name I ask! AMEN.
