Have you ever seriously paid attention to what goes through your mind? If not, maybe it's high time for you to do so, especially if you realise that your life has not been what you intend it to be. What you allow your mind to 'feed on' or dwell on may eventually be what you will see in your own life. Put in another way, what you see in your life could very well be a mirror reflection of what you see in your mind's eye. That's why it's so important to watch your own thoughts.
Never allow any negative or unpleasant thought to stay too long in your mind. As soon as such a thought arises, you should 'kick it out' of your mind immediately. Maybe I should pause here to explain what I mean by negative or unpleasant thoughts. Negative thoughts (I am using negative and unpleasant thoughts interchangeably here), to me, would include angry thoughts, thoughts of revenge, thoughts of murder and so forth.
If you are someone who is predisposed to thinking negatively, take heart. There is still hope for you! The first step you need to take is to start watching what you think. I know it is easier said than done. But it can be done. Trust me. I am an example. I used to have the tendency to think negative thoughts. On reflection, I realised that quite a lot of my bad experiences in life were due to what I had been feeding my mind with. So, I decided to start watching what I allowed my mind to feed on. I am proud to report to you that my life has changed for the better as a result.
