Do you really want to be accepted? Do you feel rejected at times? The truth is God has already accepted you. Since God never changes He will always accept you and never reject you. According to Ephesians 1:6 He has already made you accepted in the beloved. What if you don't feel accepted? Acceptance is not a feeling but a truth.
Satan has tried to convince us that God does not or will not accept us based on our performance. He wants us to believe that we will not be good enough to meet God's standard of acceptance. Well the good news is God accepts you based on who you are and not according to what you do. He accepts you because of what Jesus did for you. Acceptance is a done deal from God's perspective.
Have you ever tried to get something you already have? When you pray to God are you asking Him for something He has already given you? Why haven't you asked God for a chin? It's because you already have one. Why then do we ask for acceptance when we already have it? Its because we truly don't believe God always has and will accept us no matter what we say or do.
Acceptance is a choice. You can choose to accept the truth God accepts you just as you are or resist that truth. The choice is up to you. I've discovered over the years that the opposite of acceptance is not rejection but resistance. What we choose to resist is what we are not willing to accept.
Ask God for a revelation of how much He truly accepts you. When you were born again did He not accept you just as you were? Now that you are born again did His standards change regarding acceptance? Just receive and believe this life changing truth: You ARE Already Accepted By God!
